Through repeated tests, MHW 3Bomber found that 53.35 mm is the perfect size for leveling tools and tampers. These fit precisely into 53 mm portafilters and reduce coffee grounds waste.
Its core is the patented 4-spring system with a preset pressure of 13.6 kg. Once the tamper depth is reached, a mechanical signal sounds, and the tamper releases the pressure. The integrated horizontal guide ring ensures exact vertical alignment. The result is an even puck and a controlled, balanced extraction. After several attempts, MHW 3Bomber found that the extraction rate barely changes at the preset pressure with different amounts of powder and different extraction times.
The ergonomic, coated handle reduces fatigue during repeated tamping. After each press, the tamper automatically resets and is ready for the next shot. Additionally, the base features concentric grooves, which allow more coffee grounds to come into contact with the water, leading to better extraction.
