The Espresso Puck sieve is placed on the coffee cake pressed down with the tamper and ensures a consistent water flow. The channeling effect is reduced and a uniform extraction of the entire coffee grounds is achieved. This releases all the aromatic compounds from the coffee.
Another advantage is that minimal contact with the coffee grounds keeps the brewing head clean and tidy. The coffee cake becomes more compact and can be ejected in one piece without leaving a mess.
This puck strainer fits perfectly on 53 mm portafilters and reduces the waste of coffee grounds.
The sieve is 0.8 mm thick, so there's no need to reduce the amount of coffee grounds. The entire sieve is made of stainless steel (SUS304), making it very robust and durable. The sieve's mesh count is 11848.
